Angela Mullin Obituary

  Angela Christine Mullin November 26, 1966 - September 15, 2019

It is with great sadness that the family of Angela Mullin announce her passing on September 15th, 2019.

Angela was the first born child to Lara and Eugene Kobelka on November 26, 1966.  Angela spent all of her childhood years on their family farm, next door to her Baba and Gido (Fred and Mary Kobelka) in Lenswood, Manitoba.

Ang attended Kindergarten at the old Birch River School and enjoyed afternoons with her Amma and Avi (Otto and Ella Johnson) where she enjoyed many of her favorite Velveeta sandwiches.  Ang held a very special place in her Amma and Avi’s hearts. Ang then moved to the new Birch River School and later the Swan Valley Regional Secondary School, graduating in 1984.

Angela and Rodney were married on July 4, 1987.  They were blessed with 3 boys:  Matthew in 1990, Dylan in 1994 and Zachary in 1996.  They lived on the farm, and then in town for a few years, before building their dream home in 2003.  Ang loved designing her new home and developing her yard.  She especially loved cutting grass and tending to her beautiful purple petunias.

Ang was an active community member.  She was a member of the local curling club and was a volunteer at our local skating rink for many years.  She attended all of her boys’ hockey games and other events and helped out wherever she could.

Angela loved to be a hostess and her door was always open.  She loved to have as many people as possible around her kitchen table, enjoying their company.  She loved to challenge people to a game - any game - she loved them all.  The more that played, the happier she was.  Friday Night Get-Togethers were her favorite.

Angela worked at several jobs including:  the Westwood Inn, the Swan Valley Lodge, Macleods and then in December of 1986 to Burnside Law Office.  Angela was one of the first employees at Burnside Law.  She started out as a receptionist and office cleaner and after 25+ years she was office manager and head of their real estate department.  Ang loved her job and all of the people she worked with.

Angela is survived by her loving husband, Rodney Mullin, sons, Matthew (Arletha) (Matthews daughter Lilla Stone), Dylan (Kamryn) and Zachary (Carleigh), her parents Lara and Eugene Kobelka, sister and brother in law Claudia and Jim Sutherland and their family Kristy (Tyler) Ashcroft, Samantha, Lily and Celia, Tyler (Caitlynd) Sutherland, Kaleb and Maicy, brother Cam Kobelka, parents in law Don and Fanny Mullin, sisters in law Donna (Clint) Martin, and their children Amanda (Pav) and Cory (Mackenzie), Leanne (Jack) Hutman and their children Brett (Nicki), Sean and Eric, brother in law Jason (Lorraine) Mullin and their children Justin (Dusty) and Piper, and Dryden (Storym) as well as many aunties, uncles and cousins.

Angela was predeceased by her Baba and Gido, her Amma and Avi, and her brother Ashley
