Fred Tripp
1947 – 2019
It is with a sad heart we announce the passing of Carl Frederick “Fred” Tripp on September 12, 2019 at the age of 72. Fred was born on March 20, 1947 to Pearl and Ken Trip in the RM of Bowsman.
He is predeceased by his parents Ken and Pearl Tripp; brother Lyle Tripp; and daughter Pamela Murdock. He is survived by one son Jason Murdock, and two grandchildren.
Fred enjoyed many years as a truck driver for Paul’s Hauling, and various other companies. He was proud to have recorded over a million miles driving. In his retirement years he enjoyed spending time at the local coffee shops visiting with good friends and sharing many laughs. He liked playing cards as a pastime and occasionally dining out. He took delight in sitting on his deck enjoying the peacefulness of small-town living. Fred had a soft spot for animals and always kept treats on hand for any stray cats or dogs that happened to pass through his yard.
Prayers and viewing were held at Swan Valley Funeral Services on September 29, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.
There was a graveside service held at Bowsman Cemetery on September 30, 2019, where he was laid to rest not far from his parents. Pallbearers were Camille Fontaine, Dale Gardner, Dwaine Makasoff, Ken Tripp, Kyle Tripp, and Keenan Tripp. Fred will be forever missed by friends and family.
Thank you to Swan Valley Funeral Services for their support and help, to Rev. Kevin Sprong for the prayers and service, and also thanks to the Bowsman United Church Ladies for the luncheon.
If friends so desire, donations in Fred’s memory may be made to: Swan Valley Animal Protection League.
