Carrol Milroy

1940 - 2018

Carrol Milroy passed away on June 10, surrounded by her children at Swan Valley Health Centre.  Born in Swan River, April 8, 1940, to Aubrey and Edna (Sedore) Abigail, Carrol spent her childhood, was educated, married, and raised her family in the Valley.  In 1960 she married Jack Milroy, and together they farmed near Durban until their retirement, remaining on the farm until Jack's death when Carrol moved into Swan River.

Carrol and Jack enjoyed many years of 'snowbirding' in Yuma, Arizona, developing a second family from all over the continent.  A woman of boundless energy, talent, and determination, Carrol enjoyed maintaining relationships with friends and family, and during her period of illness, those connections brought her great pleasure. 

Carrol was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her sister Ardyth Ukalchuk.  Her spirit lives on in her children, Abby Bardell (Steve), Matthew Milroy, and Michael Milroy (Sandy), her grandchildren Sarah, Dylan, and Makheyla Milroy, Van Bardell (Meghan) and Kayli Bardell, and great grandsons, Savion Brown and Dane Bardell.

Carrol's family is extremely grateful to the staff at the Swan Valley Health Centre and Home Care for their compassionate care and to the friends and family who supported her during this difficult time.

In following with Carrol's wishes, a private family memorial will be held at a later date.
