Darlene Beverley (Lafontaine) Laliberte

1957 - 2020

Darlene was born January 2, 1957 in Dauphin, Manitoba and lived in Boggy Creek, Manitoba for most of her childhood.  

At the age of 15 Darlene met the love of her life, Dienel.  They got married February 21, 1976 and moved into their tiny house in the San Clara area.  She was then blessed with baby girl.  Darlene worked side by side with her husband in the trucking industry.  She would cook for the men and later on she got her Class 1 license.  She helped her husband by driving truck and hauling wood and gravel.  She was also the parts runner and would drive everywhere to pick up what was needed.  

Darlene loved the outdoors and would spend countless hours mowing lawn, planting a garden and tending to her flowers.  In her spare time she loved to go camping, fishing and quadding.  One of her other hobbies was crafting.  She loved to make gifts for her family and friends and painting with her granddaughters.  No matter how tired she was, she would always go shopping her daughter and granddaughters.  The time she spent with them was very special to her.  

Darlene is survived by her loving husband Dienel; her daughter Carla (Dave); and her granddaughters Kenzie and Olivia.  She is predeceased by her father Henry Lafontaine; grandmother Emma Lafontaine; grandfather Louis Lafontaine; and father-in-law Lloyd Laliberte.

A private family memorial service was held.
