Dustin Barker
1993 – 2019
On September 21, 2019, Dustin Raymond Barker of Thompson, Manitoba, formerly of Baden, Manitoba, passed away at the age of 26 years.
Dustin is survived by his mother Cheryl Barker of Baden, Manitoba; grandparents Jim and Louise Wood of Baden; brothers Dillon and Rebecca of Swan River, Manitoba, and Freddy of Thompson; sisters Coral Barker and Dawson of Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Kayla Jennings of Swan River; one niece and two nephews. He was predeceased by his father Raymond Allen Embleu.
Dustin Raymond Barker was born in Swan River. He went to Barrows School from Kindergarten to Grade 8, then went to Swan River High School. He later moved to Baden and started working at Outland Catering. He worked there for two years with his mother, then transferred to Reed Lake with his brother Dillon, working there for one year. He loved to bake and make cakes at his work. He loved to play video games. He was the comedian of the family and always had a way to make everyone laugh.
He admired spending time with his uncles Donovan, David, and Darren. He was excited to meet his dad’s side of the family; Grandpa Roland Denis, Grandma Shirley Augier, Uncle Aime Denis, Uncle Ron Denis, Aunt Jacqueline Denis, cousins Dominique Denis and Dexter Hook.

A wake service was held from the Barrows Community Hall, Barrows, Manitoba on Monday, September 30, 2019 starting at 4:00 p.m. The funeral services continued at the Barrows Community Hall on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Norberto Monton officiating. Interment followed in the Whispering Pines Cemetery, Barrows, Manitoba.
