On October 10, 2017 Jason Moshenko of the Rural Municipality of Swan River, formerly of Bellsite passed away at the age of 33 years.

He is survived by his loving wife Heidi Moshenko and three children, nine year old Kieran, four year old Ariana and nineteen month old Hailey; parents, Susan and Barry Moshenko; mother and father in law, Carla and Wayne Horochuk.; brothers: Joey (Bobbi-jo), Calvin (Brandi), Justin (Chantelle), Tim (Terrilyn Ray); and brother in law, Josh Horochuk.; grandma Frieda Voigt and grandma Ruth Specht; as well as grandparents Bill and Hazel Horochuk; nieces and nephews, Brooklyn, Colton, Kristen, Sammy-Jo, Keagan, Violet, Sebastian, Reagan, Greyson, Bredon, Skyler, and Damon.

Jason is predeceased by their son born in heaven, Hunter Percy Moshenko; great grandparents: Clarence and Gladys Voigt, Joe and Ann Moshenko; grandfathers: Ron Voigt and Ormand Specht; grandparents, Percy and Evelyn Moshenko; as well as uncle, Jim Voigt.

Jason was born on May 4, 1984 in Swan River. He attended elementary in Mafeking, middle school in Birch River continuing high school in Swan River. Jason worked hard as a heavy equipment operator. While working at the oilsands in Alberta he operated the largest shovels in the world. On June 13, 2015 he married the love of his life and soul mate, Heidi Horochuk. He was an avid hunter along with collecting many horns. He also enjoyed family times, dancing, drawing, fishing, camping as well as anything to do with the outdoors. With all of that came his known love for camo everything.

A memorial service was held from St. James Anglican Church on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bob Lewis officiating. A private family interment took place in the Bellsite Cemetery.
