On November 4, 2018, Melodie Dawn Delowski passed away unexpectedly at the age of 39.

 

Melodie is survived by her parents Joan Chartrand-Delowski and William Delowski; her brother Michael Delowski; sister Jennifer Delowski; her five children, son Jeremiah, and daughters Destiny, Jessica, and twins Jasmine and Jade. Melodie had one niece Kierra; and four nephews Alexandre, Tristan, Mikey, and Orion. Melodie had a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

 

Melodie was predeceased by her grandparents, John and Elizabeth Chartrand, Mike Delowski and Mary Badger; aunts Jeannette Chartrand, Judy Badger, Thoreen Delowski; uncles Wilfred Badger, Sidney Badger, Peter Badger; cousins Stella Marie Chartrand and Blaine Badger.

 

Melodie was born February 5, 1979 at Swan River, Manitoba. Melodie spent her early years growing up at Westgate, Manitoba. She attended school at Barrows, Manitoba. When she was seven, the family moved to Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan where she completed her elementary schooling. She attended high school at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Swan River.

 

Melodie enjoyed many different jobs. She painted houses, pumped gas, was a cook’s helper, cook, waitress, maid, cleaning lady, muffin girl, part-time farmer, and child care worker.

 

Melodie began singing with her sister at church. They sang at many churches in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Melodie’s love for singing blossomed and it became one of her life’s greatest passions. Melodie’s love for singing permeated every aspect of her life. Everyone who knew her either sang with her or was blessed with her singing to them.

 

Melodie enjoyed singing karaoke with her family and friends. She had a joyful and appealing personality. Melodie loved spending time with family and friends. She took the time to find out what interests people had and would do them with you.

 

Melodie lived her life through song. “Thank You Lord For Your Blessings On Me” is a song that Melodie loved and describes who she was.

 

Melodie’s hobbies always revolved around music and singing. Music made her happy and she always had a song for everyone and for every occasion.

 

Melodie will be missed by everyone who knew her. Melodie is now singing with the angels.

 

A wake was held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at the Elks Hall starting at 5:00 p.m. The funeral service was held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the Elks Hall at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Ray Hart officiating. Interment followed in the Birchwood Cemetery.
