Reynolt (Ray) Lepholtz, age 91, of Swan River, Manitoba, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, November 23, 2017, in the Swan Valley Lodge. Born April 25, 1926, in Poland, he was the son of the late Ewalt and Helen Lepholtz.
Ray was a farmer and carpenter in Swan River until his retirement. He built over thirty homes in the Swan River area. Ray farmed a half section of land north of Swan River. He enjoyed time spent at their cabin on Wellman Lake, fishing, golfing and camping with his family. He also served on the board of Temple Baptist Church and the board of the Association for Community Living. Ray and Miriam recently celebrated their sixty-fourth wedding anniversary on November 11, 2017, with family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-four years, Miriam Lepholtz; along with three children; Valerie (Clifton) Sandford of Edmonton, Alberta, Mavis (Kevin) Green of Edmonton, and Sheldon Lepholtz of Swan River; six grandchildren, Vanessa (David) Wightman, Brandon Sandford, Carisa Walter, Courtney (Kayla) Sandford, Drew Sandford and Justin Sandford; four great grandchildren, Lisette, Gwendolen, Hayley and Brooklynn; four siblings, Olga Schlenker of Kelowna, British Columbia, Lydia Lepholtz of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Elsie Rogalski of Citrus Heights, California, and Vi (Eric) Kwiatkowski of Maple Ridge, British Columbia; and many other loving nieces, nephews and relatives.
Ray was predeceased by his brother, Joe Lepholtz, of Winnipeg.
