Stanley Blair Robertson

Stan was born on November 10, 1937 and passed away on September 27, 2017 just shy of 80 years old. Stan was born and raised in Gilbert Plains. As a young man he worked in construction throughout the province. While working in Treherne he met the love of his life, Celine Desrosiers, or as he fondly called her “Frenchie”. They were married on October 3, 1959 and shortly thereafter started their life and family in Swan River.

Stan was Swan River Electric. Stan developed many friendships and working relationships as an electrician enjoying many projects throughout the valley.

Stan enjoyed his family, many fishing trips to Iskwasum Landing, snowmobiling, hunting and his favourite pastime, farming in Bellsite.

Left to mourn his passing is his wife of 58 years, Celine; children, Shirley (Raymond) Aubin, Heather (Larry) McKay, Clifford (Lisa) Robertson, and Gisèle (Hugh McFayden) Johnston; grandchildren, Garett (Natalie) Aubin, Cory (Allison) Aubin, Joel Aubin, Nicole Aubin, Saree (Matthew) Parker, Kolan (Delee) McKay, Megan (Alex) Husak, Jacy (Jon Bertram), Tiffiny (Dustin) Feniuk, Dustin Robertson, Alicia (Daymon Wieler) Johnston, Ryan (Kathleen Walsh) Johnston, Mia Johnston; Doug Johnston; great grandchildren, Eldon, Ella, Ava, Bowen, Zoey, Laine, Henley, and Geneviève; his only brother, Terry (Sharon) Robertson; in laws, Leone Barnabé, Jeanne Lipischak, Henri Lambert, Marcelle Desrosiers, Estelle (Fred) Marion, Paul (Shirley) Desrosiers, Simone Gosselin, Jean (Edith) Desrosiers, Bertille (Lucien) Croteau, Robert (Sharon)  Desrosiers, Guy (Claire) Desrosiers; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Stan was predeceased by his grandson, Lee Johnston; in laws Therese and Aime Trudel, Andre Barnabé, Marie (Daniel) Deschene, Leslie Lipischak, Claire (Auguste) Lagassé, Yvette Lambert, Maurice Desrosiers, and Claude Gosselin.

Short in stature but a BIG MAN in our lives.
