Alexander Kenneth Ross
1955 - 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Alexander Kenneth Ross on December 28, 2025 at the age of 70.
Born in Birch River on March 1, 1955, Ken (as he was commonly known) was raised on the family farm and attended Steele School. As a young man, Ken began farming alongside his father and then eventually by himself until retirement. Along the way, he also worked for the Town of Birch River and at the pig barn outside of Bowsman.
In August of 1981, Ken married his sweetheart, Debbie Robinson. They welcomed their two daughters in 1983 and 1985, followed by their baby boy in 1990.
Ken was a true family man who wore his heart on his sleeve. He proudly showed his affection for his wife and children. He really shined when he started welcoming his grandchildren. His love was unmatched and unconditional.
Ken could usually be found creating art of some sort or researching his next idea. If you couldn’t find him in the house, he would most likely be found puttering outside or in one of his many gardens.
Ken is survived by his wife, Debbie, children Amber (Andrew), Carla (Justin), William (Shannon), and grandchildren Iain, Emma, Alexander, and Ainsley. Ken will also be missed greatly by his sidekick, Peanut.
A service will be held on August 5, 2026 at the Birch River Legion Hall. Specific details will follow at a later date.
