It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alice Pacamaniuk on April 3, 2022 at the Swan Valley Personal Care Home, at the age of 89.
Alice was born January 9, 1933 in Hyas, SK, to Nick and Annie Sholudko. She attended school in Danbury SK, Victoria BC, and Durban MB.
On June 26 1954, Alice married Walter Pacamaniuk at the Durban United Church. They farmed in the Minitonas area (Duckenville District). Alice loved the farm – her garden, animals, cooking (she made the best buns) and took pleasure visiting with family and friends. She spent hours doing crossword puzzles. Alice spent her time caring for her grand-daughters, who she was proud to be their Baba and later became a Great-Baba. The girls have lots of great memories to cherish.
Mom (Baba) had riches that money can’t buy - a big heart that only knew one thing, the love for her children & grandchildren.
Waiting for Alice are her husband, Walter, sons John and Edward, parents Nick and Annie Sholudko, her sister Gladys (John) Stupak, brother Alex Sholudko and parents-in-law Dmitry and Justina Pacamaniuk.
Left to cherish Alice’s memory are, son Walter (Marilyn) Pacamaniuk and daughter Joan (Rick) Kreshewski. Granddaughters Sheena, Melodie, Keera and Mikayla. Great grandchildren Kierstin, Everett, Lincoln, Levi, Merritt and Myers. Sister-in-law Anne Sholudko, nieces and nephews, and long-time friend Ann Storozuk.
The family would like to thank the Personal Care home for the great care and kindness given to our mom.
In keeping with Alice’s wishes, cremation has taken place and her ashes were laid to rest in the Minitonas Cemetery, Minitonas MB.
Rest easy, Baba, you are greatly missed.
