Amber Baskier Obituary

Amber Lee Baskier

August 23, 1986 – April 17, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Amber Lee Baskier — a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend — who left us too soon on April 17, 2025, at the age of 38. Born on August 23, 1986, in Swan River to Bob and Val Ashcroft, Amber radiated love and joy, touching the lives of the many that knew her.

Amber loved to make others laugh and was the bright spark in every room she entered. From a young age, she had the gift of lifting others up — whether through her kind words, wild antics, quick wit, or that unmistakable gleam in her eye that promised mischief and joy. Her zest for life was magnetic. She didn’t just live — she LIVED, fiercely and fully, and in doing so, she reminded the rest of us how beautiful and vibrant life could be.

Amber embraced life with a generous spirit. Her career as a hairstylist was more than just a job; it was her passion. She loved making people feel good about themselves and found great joy in taking care of those around her. Her interests were diverse and included crafting, baking, and photography — each a further testament to her creativity and love for bringing happiness to others.

Her superpower was her selflessness; she constantly put others first, whether it was her family, her friends, or her beloved pets. But Amber's greatest joy came from her role as a mother to Hunter. He was her entire world. The fierce love she had for him empowered her in ways she never knew she was capable of. Amber embraced motherhood with open arms, always prioritizing the happiness and well-being of her son, and ensuring that he felt cherished and supported.

Amber is survived by her devoted husband, Clint, who became her anchor and partner in life. Their marriage last summer was a dream come true for Amber. Clint was not only the love of her life, but also her haven where she felt truly loved, seen, and understood.

Left to cherish her memory is her son Hunter, parents Bob and Val Ashcroft, brother Tyler (Kristy) Ashcroft and nieces Samantha, Lilyanna and Celia, grandparents Jim and Ethel Krichkowski, mother-in-law Jean Baskier, Clint’s children Michael (Sydney) Baskier and grandson Ripp, and Cheyanne (Barry) Bresky and grandchildren Isaac, Isaiah and Theia, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and Baskier family members.

She was predeceased by grandparents Jessie and Jack Ashcroft and Uncle Tim Krichkowski.

A memorial luncheon will be held on May 9, 2025, at 2:30 PM at the Swan Valley Historical Museum. Family and friends are invited to gather, reflect, and celebrate the beautiful life Amber lived. Anyone wishing to make a donation in memory of Amber may do so to the Swan Valley Animal Protection League Box 2735 Swan River, MB R0L 1Z0.

Although she is no longer with us, Amber’s spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her legacy of love, laughter, and compassion endures. We find comfort in knowing she will always be remembered for her generosity, her joy, and her unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Amber, you are deeply missed and will never be forgotten. Your spirit lives on in every life you touched, and your light will forever shine in our hearts.
