Bev was born April 29,1942 in Rm of Shell River, MB to Willis and Ethel Armistead, she received her education in Swan River, MB. Bev met the love of her life at a Kenville Dance; she knew at that moment she wanted to spend her lifetime with Earl. They were married October 28th, 1960, and on May 3rd,1962 came the arrival of their only child Cindy. The family moved to Brandon in 1966, where Earl was employed at the with the Modern Dairy Six Horse Hitch which involved travelling to fairs across Manitoba with their long lifetime friends Elmer and Audrey Brown. All four were involved with the Hitch. Upon returning to Kenville, Earl and Bev began to farm and were involved in the Family Lumber Business. There was a major love for horses for both Earl and Bev. When the opportunity came to become PMU Producers, they both knew that was for them. They spent many years on the Chuckwagon circuit in the summers and after retiring from racing, they had Standardbred horses which they would follow on the circuit. Once Raymond was involved with the farm and PMU, Bev decided to go to work for Saan Store, which she was very dedicated and loved.

Bev had a couple of other enjoyments besides horses she loved curling, once she didn’t curl anymore, she made all her shots perfectly watching the games on T.V. There wasn’t a curling game missed, her passion was dancing, especially with her soulmate and love Earl. Once they decided to retire from the farm, they joined their second family Grant and Shelly Profit along with their girls in the summers on the World Professional Chuckwagon Racing Circuit. Bev’s grandchildren and great grandchildren were a big part of her life.

Bev loved country music, her favorite singers were Elvis Presley and Charlie Pride. She enjoyed going for daily walks and meeting her friends for coffee once a week.

She will remain in our hearts and memories from this day forward. You will be forever missed!

If friends so desire, memorial donations in memory of Beverly may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
