Courtney Barker

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Courtney Dawn Barker. Courtney is the daughter of the late Karl and Gail Barker and sister to the late Karla Barker. She is survived by her brother Conrad (Misty) and her children Emily, Ruth (Jake), Avery, Jaycee, Blake, and Jordan.

Courtney was raised with Delvin, David, Cheryl, Donovan (Jeanette), Darren (Charity) by Jim and Louise Woods for the first few years of her life. Then went on to live with her mother and siblings.

Courtney finished her Grade 12 and went on to pursue carpentry and completed her level one. Courtney was a hard working mother who was very devoted to raising her children. Courtney considered all of her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends family. Courtney was loved dearly and she considered everyone she knew as family.

I MADE IT HOME

I just wanted to let you know I made it home.

Everything is so pretty here, so fresh, so new. I wish that you could close your eyes so you could see it too.

Please try not to be sad for me. Try to understand. God is taking care of me… I’m in the shelter of His hands.

Here there is no sadness, and no sorrow, and no pain. Here there is no crying and I’ll never hurt again.

Here it is so peaceful, when all the angels sing. I really have to go now… I’ve just got to try my wings.
