Curtis Bourassa Obituary

On October 5, 2025, Curtis Gillman Bourassa of Winnipeg, Manitoba formally of Barrows passed away at the age of 51 years.

Curtis was born in Swan River and raised by his mom in Barrows. He would spend some summers and holidays in Rolling River with his Koko Vicky and family. Curtis was known to everyone by the nickname Fisherman (Fish), a name given to him by his late grandpa Frank.

Fish lived and grew up in many different places. Most of his adult life he lived in Ottawa and the remainder of his life lived out in Winnipeg. He returned to Manitoba to be closer to his children and his grandchildren. His daughter Farrah and her children and his son Azreal, whom he loved very much.

Fish had a good sense of humour which made the people who he came across in his lifetime friends. He enjoyed gaming with his children and cousins, carpentry work on the high-rises he worked on, and hanging out with his friends.

Curtis is survived by his two children Farrah Huntinghawk (Elmer) of Brandon,MB, son Azreal, three grandchildren Amaara, Natalia and Bennet, mother Marline (Garry) and sister Jolene. He is also survived by niece Shaleea of Vancouver and nephew Keadis of Birch River.

He is predeceased by his granddaughter Makiya Kaylie Gaywish,  grandparents Ambrose & Veronique Bourassa and Frank & Victoria Wilson and  father Curtis Wilson.

Creator has you in his arms now, my son. I will forever have you in my heart.
