Delilah Macooh

1961 - 2019

Delilah Macooh passed away on Monday May 20, 2019.

Delilah was born in Swan River on June 24, 1961 to Steve and Anne Yacyshyn.

She grew up on the family farm east of Durban, where she loved being outside spending her time with all of the animals.

She graduated from high school in 1979, and shortly thereafter Delilah and Dale moved to Edmonton for work, where Delilah worked at various office jobs.

In the spring of 1984 Delilah moved back to Benito. On August 18,1984 Dale and Delilah were married and their home has been in Benito ever since.

In 1991 Steven was born, and Cale followed in 1994. Delilah had various jobs over the years but her definite favourite was homecare where she worked for the past ten years.

Delilah was predeceased by her father Steve; mother Anne; sister Cathy; brother Dave; and sister in law Ollie. Her loss will be mourned by her loving husband Dale; her sons Steven and Cale; her brother Edgar; her mother-in-law Joan; and brother in law Peter; as well as her many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A special thanks to the staff at the Swan Valley Hospital for the wonderful care they provided during her final days. We would also like to thank all the people who came to visit, and helped to coordinate the visits for Delilah. It meant a great deal to us.

A memorial service was held from the Valley Evangelical Covenant Church, Durban, Manitoba on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Johnson officiating. Interment followed in the Benito Cemetery, Benito, Manitoba.
