Desmond Zurba Obituary

In loving memory of Desmond Cameron Lee Zurba

August 8, 1972 - Dec 22, 2024.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved brother Desmond on

December 22, 2024 at the age of 52.

He was a cherished son, brother, uncle, great uncle and friend whose life was a testament to love, faith and joy.

Desmond had a deep passion for cars that began at an early age. Whether fixing, driving, or simply admiring them, his enthusiasm was infectious. He was always ready to share stories about his favorite rides or lend a hand to anyone in need of automotive advice.

Above all, family and faith were the cornerstones of Desmond's life. He treasured every moment spent with loved ones, whether at a family gathering, holidays, or a quiet evening at home.  His warmth and generosity knew no bounds, and his laughter was the light of every room he entered.

A devoted follower of Christ, Desmond found immense joy and purpose in serving the lord. He was a pillar of his church community, dedicating his time and energy to spreading Gods word and love. His faith guided him every step and inspired everyone who knew him.

Desmond is survived by his brother Dale Zurba (Marilyn Grainger), his nieces Shara Land(husband Darius), Karla Zurba, Christine Zurba (son Keegan), Sherri-Lynn Zurba (daughter Harlow), Nikita Slepicka (Husband Ryley, sons Axel and Wilder), Crystal Lowenberg (husband Tyson, daughters Charlee and Preslee), his nephew Jared Zurba (spouse Holly Lewis, daughter Becky-Rose) as well as numerous extended friends and family who will forever cherish his memory.

Desmond was predeceased by his Mother Evangeline Zurba (Dec 2012) and Father Nick Zurba

(June 2018), eldest brother Delbert Zurba (July 2022) and sister in-law Jackie Zurba (June 2023).

Though our hearts ache with loss, we find comfort in knowing that Desmond is now at peace in the presence of the lord. Reunited with loved ones who have gone before him. His legacy of faith, love and joy will live on in all of us. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7.

If friends desire, memorial donations in memory of Desmond may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
