Ewalt Art Hubscher
April 9, 1932 – January 12, 2021
Peacefully on January 12, 2021 at the age of 88 years Ewalt Hubscher was called home to be with his Lord and Saviour at the Swan Valley Health Centre.
Ewalt was born on April 9, 1932 to Adolph and Elsie Hubscher in a country setting in Minitonas, MB: the youngest of 5 siblings.
Ewalt’s strong work ethic was evident at a very early age. His jobs included: working at the Sudbury Nickel Mine (over 10 years), training in Ottawa for RCMP as well as during these years he continued to farm with his family. Ewalt met the love of his life, Angelina and they were married in 1957 in Ottawa and were blessed to be married for 63 years. His strong desire to farm full time brought them back to Swan River where he built their home on the Hubscher farmstead. Shortly after was the start of Hubscher’s Rock Haven that blessed and brought enjoyment to thousands over the years until his retirement at the age of 59.
Ewalt always made time for his family with summer camping trips or backyard skating rink in the winter. He took his family on many vacations with a trip to Florida to go to Disney World being a highlight. His hobbies included: camping, fishing, playing pool, horseshoes, gardening and yard work. He also spent many hours volunteering for over 30 years for Westman Cable Access TV.
Ewalt was raised in a Christian home and at an early age accepted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour. Because of his strong faith in God his wife and children also followed in his footsteps and are all serving the Lord today.
Ewalt is survived by his loving wife Angelina and his 4 children: Darlene (Don) Buhler, Debora (Lloyd) Carr, Darin (Victoria) Hubscher and Gwen (Winston) Johnson. His pride and joy were his 9 beautiful grandchildren: Nathan, Melissa, Dyllon, Tyler, Charnae, Shaelyn, Taniesha, Davis and Trey.
“You will be dearly missed but our fond memories will live in
our hearts forever. We love you!”
The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever.
