Helen Taylor Obituary

Helen Martha Taylor

1938 - 2025

Helen Martha Taylor (nee Eggleston) was born August 9, 1938, in Bowsman, MB to Charlie & Isabella Eggleston. She had 4 sisters (Marjorie, Dorothy, Darlene & Winifred) and 1 brother (Donald). Married to the love of her life Delbert Taylor and they farmed in the Big Woody area. They had 6 children Judy, Trina (Darryl), Greg (Kelly), Kathy (John), Angie (Mark) and Darcy (Megan). 13 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.

Helen passed away quietly on April 16th, 2025, at the Swan Valley Lodge. Helen was preceded by her husband (Delbert), parents (Charlie & Isabella), Sister (Winifred), Sister (Dorothy), Brother (Donald), daughter-in-law (Kelly) and Grandson (Geoffrey).

Helen grew up in Bowsman and spent most of  her life raising her family in the Big Woody area where they farmed and had the PMU Barn. Helen & Delbert raced chariots and Chuckwagons at several rodeos for over 30 years. Had miniature horses that she doated on. Helen loved her family, gardening, fishing, curling, reading, painting pictures, knitting, playing the guitar, crossword, sudoku, listening to her music, travelling and especially beating Delbert in Crib. She usually had a camera in her hand because living with Delbert was always an adventure and something random (wrong) always happened and she wanted to capture it on film.

Helen travelled to North Dakota, Montana, Colorado Springs, Virginia, Florida, Vancouver, Edmonton, Airdrie, Sundre, Calgary Stampede and Leduc and loved stopping and trying her luck at the Casinos.

Celebrating the life of a remarkable woman who will be deeply missed. Her bright smile, joyful spirit, and loving relationship with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren are fondly remembered.
