Judith Steer

STEER, Judith Ann (nee Rutledge) 1943 - 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Judith (Judy) Ann Steer on February 6, 2014. Judy was born and raised in Victoria, BC where she met her husband Jack Steer. They were married in Victoria in 1962 and continued to live here until they returned to Swan River in 1974. There they owned and operated an assortment of retail businesses until their retirement from Kelsey Grocers. Judy didn't like being idle, so after retirement she continued working in other stores like The Met, Bargain Shop and Swan Valley Building Supplies. Judy will always be much loved and missed by her husband Jack; daughter Jackie and son-in-law Nick; sisters-in-law Bev and Donna Steer; nieces; nephews; great nieces and numerous friends.Judy was predeceased by her parents Cora and Gordie Rutledge; brother Cliff and brothers-in-law Lyall Steer and Harry Williams. As per Judy's wishes, cremation has taken place with interment at Royal Oak Burial Park.
