Julian Reginald Arnold Boucher

Julian Reginald Arnold Boucher, 63 years old of Duck Bay, MB, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026, at Duck Bay. 

Julain was born on August 2, 1962, in Duck Bay. He was the son of Helen (nee Campbell) Boucher and Rodrick Boucher. He leaves his special friends Corrine Chartrand, April Parenteau, Charlene Chartrand and Judy Ducharme. Julian attended Duck Bay School and went on to high school at Frontier Collegiate in Cranberry Portage. For his career, Julian was well known for his role as a councillor for 28 years in his community. He was known for his acts of kindness and his well-known spirit to make a roomful of people laugh, along with his hard-working devotion in his roles as a Councillor, Sagemace Housing Manager, and Night Watchman. He was well known in the community for his acts of kindness and his dedication as a Councillor.

He was a good storyteller, singer and dancer. Julian loved cooking; he liked cooking traditional meals and inviting friends and family over. He was an adventurer within his life, loved going places and having a good time. Julian loved joking around with his siblings, nieces and nephews. Julian had a lot of love for his nieces and nephews, like he always said I love all my nieces and nephews unconditionally. Especially the small babies and newborns in the family, he used to say, “Pack up their baby stuff; I’ll take them home with me. They will come and live with me.  Some of his favourite hobbies were being at family gatherings/celebrations, playing Bingo, cards and VLTS.

Julian had ups and downs in his life with losing his mother, Helen, which caused him to be heartbroken from her passing because he was so close to his mother. Along with being diagnosed with Cancer in 2021, he went through challenges in his treatment, but he ended up beating his cancer in 2025.

They are survived by Larry (Debbie), George (Sharon), Clarence (Rose Mary), Irene (Gordy), Valeray (Ronnie), Charlie (Norma), Rachel (Kenny), Gloria (Everette), Ricky (Megan), and Sherri Lee (Jason). They were predeceased by Mother Helen (nee Campbell) Boucher, Father Rodrick Boucher, Siblings Linda Mary, Cecil, Robert, Lavina and Mary Linda.

Even through his many difficulties, he always put everyone before himself. His greatest concern was for his family, all of whom he deeply loved. We are blessed and Thankful for Julian and for the time we were able to spend with him.
