On April 28, 2023, Kane Kiel Shahloh Lamirande, formerly of Pine Creek
First Nation, passed away at the age of 5 years.
He is survived by his parents, Kyla-Ann Flamand, Katlin Lamirande, and
his siblings, sisters, Katori Lamirande and Serenity Lamirande, brothers,
Katlin jr. Lamirande, and Damien Moosetail. Kane’s grandparents, on
dad’s side, George Boucher and Sharon Lamirande, and his mom’s side,
Keiron and Deborah Flamand. Not to forget Kane’s many aunts, uncles,
cousins, his friends at school, and other extended family members too
numerous to mention.
Kane was predeceased by his sister Keira Flamand.
His aunts Victoria Lamirande, Joanne Lamirande, and his cousin,
George Jr. Lamirande.
Kane was born in Dauphin, MB. On April 19, 2018, His spirit name is
Mud Bear. He attended Minegoziibe Anishinabe School and he was in
Nursery. He attended ½ days at the school with his friends whom he
had lots of fun with, including his cousin Macey Nepinak who he loved
to make cry.
Kane was obsessed with dinosaurs, he enjoyed taking bubble baths,
and he loved food and playing with bubbles! His favorite tv shows
were, Sponge Bob, Sonic the hedgehog. Kane enjoyed his own
company he played alone for hours, when his sibs weren’t around, and
he loved the outdoors, he was always talking about going fishing with
his parents.
Kane will be missed tremendously, by everyone he touched, but we will
have all the precious memories to remember him by.
