1983 – 2019

One June 3, 1983, you came into our lives; our hearts were filled with happiness. Now thirty-five years later our hearts are shattered, as you left us to pave the way.

Kelly Barker was one of a kind. He would welcome you with a smile and a song. Kelly was kind-hearted. He was had a kind word for all. Kelly had many friends whom he loved dearly, left to cherish his memory.

Kelly always smiled through his pain. He would entertain you with his talent. Kelly played guitar and sang like you wouldn’t believe. He enjoyed singing with Karryn and playing guitar with Tony. Kelly also enjoyed playing board games with Ben and Justin (because he could cheat, and they wouldn’t even know).

Kelly was predeceased by his father, Harvey Barker. Harvey is now reunited with his bee bee son.

Kelly leaves to mourn; his dear mother Nancy Barker; his two brothers Christopher (Shiela) and Truman (Myrna); his sister Stephanie (Terry); his two nephews Justin and Arron; his niece Caitlin; and many more family and friends.

We love you, Kelly.

A memorial service was held from the Elbert Chartrand Friendship Centre, Swan River, Manitoba on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date in the Whispering Pines Cemetery, Barrows, Manitoba.
