Laurence Eisner
1944 - 2023
Following a short battle with melanoma Laurence Eisner passed away with family by his side. He was 78
years old.
The fourth child of Arnold and Olga Eisner Laurence was born August 23, 1944, in Swan River and has lived in the Swan Valley all his life. Laurence was baptized in 1959 at Wellman Lake. Laurence married Glenys Bertram and for 57 years farmed north of Minitonas. In December 1969 he went to The Reisch American School of Auctioneering in Mason City Iowa and became an auctioneer. Over the years we did many sales and met the most wonderful people. He worked for many years at The Auction Barn in Regina and for the past 25 years for Great Plains in Regina.
Laurence and Glenys were blessed with 4 sons Clinton (Cheryl), Chris (Ronda), Chad and Ryan (Mandy)
There are 10 grandchildren Taylor (Chris) Travis, Lucas, Colton, Cody, Bo, Austin, Chase, Mercedees and
Madisyn.
Laurence is survived by brothers Nelson (Lydia), Doug (Marlene) sisters Rose and Darlene, brothers in law Don (Debbie), Dale (Margaret), and David (Val), also numerous nieces and nephews.
Laurence was predeceased by his father Arnold and mother Olga, brother John, brother-in-law Joseph
Burghardt, father-in-law Glenn Bertram, mother-in-law Ruth Bertram, brother-in-law Robert Bertram, sisters in law Sherry Kelbert, and Heather Bertram.
Laurence and Glenys enjoyed travelling! Went to Sweden with Clint’s hockey club, Egypt and Epheseus,
South America, Panama Canal, but their Happy Place was Acapulco. Laurence was a collector of antiques
and had quite a few old tractors.
A Service will be held Thursday June 15, 2023, at 1:00 PM from Minitonas First Baptist Church, Minitonas, MB.
