Lloyd Joseph Nemetchek
1946 – 2025
On November 6th, 2025, Lloyd Nemetchek of Swan River, Manitoba passed away suddenly.
Lloyd was born in Swan River on June 2, 1946, to Annie and Joseph Nemetchek. He lived on a family farm in the Roaring River District until the age of six when the family moved to Minitonas where he attended school.
On October 11, 1969, he married the love of his life, Adeline Shevernoha and they raised their two sons. He enjoyed coaching and managing the boy’s hockey and baseball teams.
He worked for Stran-Steel, Manitoba Pool Elevators, and 25 years for the Town of Swan River in the Public Works Department, and after retirement he worked for a few years at Swan Valley Funeral Services.
Lloyd loved his family, and his six grandchildren were his pride and joy. He enjoyed spending time with them at the lake. He would also travel to watch them participate in various sports.
Lloyd enjoyed reading, woodworking, curling, and travelling to different countries.
Lloyd is survived by his loving wife, Adeline, his two sons and their families; Donovan (Marcy) and their children Konlyn, Kyan, and Shaylyn; Jeremy (Joanne) and their children Brayden, Ethan and Tehya. He is also survived by his sister Irene (Jake) Schulz, brothers Karel (Becky) and Ed, brother-in-law Russell Shevernoha, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother and father, mother-in-law, father-in-law and sister-in-law.
Lloyd will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his family
