Madeline Arva (Neely) Krumm

1931 - 2023

Madeline Arva (Neely) Krumm passed away November 03, 2023, at the Swan Valley Health Centre at the age of 92. She was born to James and Vida Neely at their home in Pretty Valley, July 24, 1931. She attended school in Pretty Valley and Swan River.

Madeline started work as a housekeeper when she was a teenager. Later she worked at Lloyds Jewelers where she met Clarence Krumm. They were married October 14, 1949 and were married for 60 years. During their marriage they had 5 children. While raising their 5 children, she started work at the Swan Valley Lodge. Madeline worked there for 30 years; she was one of the last employees before the door closed.

Madeline got great enjoyment from making and baking treats for those she loved. Rarely did anyone leave her home without homemade goodies.

She loved music so much that she took up piano playing in her 80’s. She especially enjoyed playing keyboard with her brother, Larry, most Saturday nights.

Madeline was predeceased by her husband Clarence; her brother Norman and wife Freda; her brother Mervyn and wife Shirley; her sister Nonie and husband Ralph Martin; her sons-in-law Bill Redlick and Bartley Beals.

She is survived by her brother Larry (Gladys) Neely, and daughters Maureen Redlick, Myrna Beals, Wendy (Denis) Ryan, son Stewart (Brenda Bridal) Krumm, and daughter Lori (Ken Kereluik) Cluney. Grandchildren Randy (Tammy) Redlick, Ryan (Linnea) Redlick, Regan (Amie) Redlick, Brad (Mandi) Beals, Terry (Dayle Adamson) Beals, Crystal (Brendan) Steele, Amanda Ryan, Krista (Jack) Logan, Sara (Adam) Coder, Veronica May, Valerie (Ryan) Carbotte, Jared (Trish) Kereluik, and Robin Kereluik. Great grandchildren Anna, Lane, Kaili (Jarett), Kelly, Kathlyn, Nick (Oceana), Emma, Jace, Emerson, Talon, Zea, Koa, Nick, Cooper, Madeline, Jaxon, Sully, Nova, Hazel, Logan, Mikael, and Aiden. Great great granddaughter Octavia.  

A private family service will be held at a later date.
