Mary Bulycz

On November 25, 2022, Mary Bulycz of Barrows, MB, formerly of Ituna, SK passed away at the age of 95 years.

 Survived by her loving 8 children Merle (Rita) Bulycz of Picture Butte, AB. Geraldine (Raymond) Munro of Barrows, MB. Grace Bulycz of The Pas, MB. Gloria (Armand) Cote of The Pas, MB. Terry (Stephanie) Bulycz of Swan River, MB. Kathy (Robert) Paul of Mafeking, MB. Larry (Donna) Bulycz of Barrows, MB. Shelly Bulycz of The Pas, MB. Lori Bulycz (Daughter-in-law) of Mafeking, MB, and 23 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 5 great, great grandchildren.

Predeceased by her husband Alexander Bulycz, parents John and Eva Pawlust, brothers John, Mike and Walter Pawlust, and her son Danny Bulycz.

Mom was born on May 18, 1927, at Balcarres, SK. She attended school in Ituna, SK and Saskatoon, SK.

In 1957, Mom moved her family to Barrows, MB. to teach. Later she took the Pent Program and graduated with honors in 1975. She was then employed by Frontier School Division and taught school in Barrows for the next 25 years. Upon retiring mom had time for her hobbies of growing flowers and bird watching, especially hummingbirds. Mom also enjoyed going to Bingo. Her favorite time was Christmas Eve when she cooked her Ukrainian supper for the family. That could be up to 60 people. Only when she was in her late 80’s did she allow family to help out.

She made around 400 dozen perogies so each child, grandchild, great grandchild got 5 dozen.

Mom will be missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and her many friends.
