Mervin graduated from Grade 11 OEC program in Frontier Collegiate Institute in Cranberry Portage where he made many lasting friendships.  He was a Heavy Equipment Operator helping to build numerous roads and dams. He enjoyed his work very much and missed it. He’d say if someone would help me up on my dozer, I could still work.  Merv was well known by family members for his love of children. He loved to play with babies to make them laugh and teach them new vocabulary. He liked to tease the older ones. Merv will be missed by all who knew him.
