Michael (Mike) James Rogalski
January 28th, 1969 – January 26th, 2026
Michael was born at the Benito Hospital on January 28th, 1969, to Pete and Emily Rogalski. He was the youngest of four sons. The farm south of Durban was his forever home. He adventured north for work, but his heart and love were for the soil he was raised on.
Nobody loved a good social gathering more than him. Whether he was at the lake boating, quading or sledding in the back countries, having a blast with his friends at a music festival or the family get- together, he would never miss out on a good time. If you close your eyes, you could probably hear his infectious laugh.
Mike made friends easily. Everyone was at the receiving end of his quick wit and crazy sense of humour. One of his greatest pleasures was his garden, and his love sharing all its abundance.
One thing for sure is his love for his daughter Brooke, he loved being a dad and she truly was the love of his life. Always looking forward to her visits and chats on the phone. He was always very proud of her.
Blessed with so many incredible friends that helped during the good times and the bad, he was forever indebted to you all. With trips to the doctors, check-ins and visits, must needed vacations and the love of friendship. Mike was so very lucky to have you all.
For over twenty years Mike fought the fight; a true soldier. He never complained about his pain or suffering. He may have lost his battle with cancer, but he did it his way until the end.
Mike leaves to mourn his beautiful daughter Brooke Rogalski of Grand Prairie, AB, his loving mother Emily of Benito. MB, his brother Dennis (Iris) of Merritt, BC, Bill of Sherwood Park, AB (children-Christopher and Jordan), and Kevin of Edmonton, AB (children-Brett and Sky).
Mike was predeceased by his father Peter Rogalski.
We would like to thank the doctors, nurses and support staff in Swan River, Kamsack, Regina and Saskatoon hospitals and clinics for all their compassion and care over the years.
When the warm breeze is blowing; the robins are chirping and the gardens are planted, the celebration of life will be held on June 6th, 2026, at10:30 AM in Benito, MB. at the Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Church, with a lunch to follow at the church hall. We ask that you share some of your favorite stories and memories. We would love to hear them all.
Michael is gone in body, but his spirit will always be with us. May he rest in peace.
