Myrna Olive Beals

It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Myrna (Colbert) Beals of Swan River, Manitoba formerly of Bowsman, Manitoba on August 7, 2023 at the age of 87 years.

Myrna was born on May 15, 1936 on the family farm east of Bowsman. She attended Craigsford School. Myrna married Junior Beals on November 27, 1953 and they spent 66 years together. In 1964, they bought a farm South East of Birch River before retiring to Bowsman in 1979. In 2009, Junior and Myrna made their final move to Swan River.

Myrna is survived by her 4 children, Hughie (Viola) Beals, Twila (Dale) Gallant, Del Dayson, and Myles (Corey) Beals, 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 1 brother Leo Colbert and 2 sisters Maxine Gellert and Dolly Keith.

Myrna is predeceased by her husband Walter(Junior).

In keeping with Myrna’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service was held at the Bowsman Cemetery.
