Nestor Koziski
1927 – 2025
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Nestor Koziski on May 28, 2025, at 97 years old.
Nestor was born August 20, 1927, in Ituna, Saskatchewan, son of Maxim and Mary (Shull).

Nestor attended Olga School until 1943, then assisted with the farm for several years prior to venturing off to Ontario & Manitoba.
Nestor loved the outdoors and all it had to offer, he enjoyed working together with his family as well as playing music and having a family band.
Music, family and logging were the ultimate for Nestor. In 1947 Nestor started his love of logging and working at a camp in Timberton, Manitoba, then the next six weeks he would work in the pulpwood camp in Aiden, Ontario. The summers of 1949 and 1950 he worked in the sugar beet and tobacco fields, and in 1951 he bought a farm. Nestor then sold in 1958 to his brother Peter and moved out to Mafeking, Manitoba to start logging. He remained in the valley until his passing.
Nestor was extremely loving and proud of his sisters Annie, Olga (Mike) and Tessie, several nieces and nephews, his good friends, Wayne (Hank) Williams, and Greg and Charlotte Sauder.
Nestor was predeceased by his parents Maxim and Mary, his brothers Stan, Mike, John, Joe, and Peter, sisters Adeline, Rose, Mary and Julia.
We know in our hearts that you are in a better place and one day you will be waiting for each of us when we join you in heaven.
