Nick Tataryn
1927 - 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Nick Tataryn at the Swan River Valley Personal Care Home.
Nick was born in Swan Plain SK on May 29,1927 and passed away on November 16th, 2025, at the age of 98 years.
Nick met and married his soul mate Mary (Novakowski) in Rama, SK on October 18, 1952. They were married for 73 years.
During his lifetime Nick had many jobs such as logging, farming, carpentry, welding, mechanic, and being a proud business owner.
He enjoyed curling, golfing, fishing, boating, dancing, and Christmas caroling. Relaxing at the cabin at Madge Lake was always time well spent.
Their travels took them to Jamaica, Hawaii, Spain, and many places in Canada and the USA visiting with friends and family.
Nick was one of the founding members of All Saints Ukrainian Catholic Church and held many positions on the committees. He was involved with the Knights of Columbus and other community organizations.
He is survived by his loving wife Mary and daughters Lorraine (Jim), Gloria (Rollie), and Valerie (Wally). Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Landon, Ashley (James), Alicia (Brendan), Drew, Kiera (Kelsey), Jared (Kelly) and Kirsten (Ryan). Also, great grandchildren Owen, Lexi, Leah and Leighton.
Left to mourn are his sisters Olga, Leona and a sister-in-law Olga.
Predeceased by many relatives, friends and infant granddaughter Lauren.
Spending time with his family was his favorite pastime.
He will be dearly missed.
A private celebration of life will be held in May 2026.
