We sadly announce the passing of Norman Ovide McLeod. Norman passed away peacefully on December 28, 2022, at the Swan Valley Lodge in Swan River, Manitoba at the age of 88 years.
Our dad was born on December 27, 1934, to Donald and Flora McLeod at Red Deer Lake, Manitoba where he spent his childhood.
Our dad loved life and he never seemed to have a bad day. He always had a smile and a handshake for those he would meet. He was full of jokes and was never short of a story to tell. He loved being outside and always wanted to go back home to Red Deer Lake.
Our dad was also very talented. He could sing a song, strum a guitar, and yodel a tune with the best of them. He never turned down an opportunity to entertain a crowd, big or small, with one of his songs.
Our dad was also very talented when it came to carving and working with his hands. He won many years in a row at The Pas Trappers Festival’s Power Saw Carving competition, and he sold his carvings near and far.
Our dad is pre-deceased by his parents Donald and Flora McLeod, his brother John (Alice) McLeod, his sisters Annie (Henny) Munro, Margaret (Isaac) Constant, Edna (Tony) Constant, Harriet (Ray) Kemp, Catherine (Earl) Bement, and his son Dennis John Bulycz.
Our dad is survived by his wife Stella and her family, his children Terry (Stephanie) Bulycz, Kathy (Robert) Paul, Larry (Donna) Bulycz, and Shelly Bulycz, and his daughter-in-law Lori Bulycz. His stepchildren Merle (Rita) Bulycz, Geri (Ray) Munro, Grace Bulycz, Gloria (Armand) Cote. His grandchildren Justin, Caitlin, Barry (Janel), Blake (Amanda), Brandy, Robert, Roxanne (Nelson), Ariel (Justin), Briel, Keyanna, Jacob, and Vada. His great-grandchildren Jack, Beau, Kemmilee, Hendrix, Lola, Cohen, Brynn, Korie, Ashton, and Aubrey and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
