It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to our beloved mother Patricia May Niven (Pat) who passed away unexpectedly on July 6, 2023, at the age of 86 at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta.
Pat is survived by her brother Bob (Bev) Niven, her 3 children Sandy (Peter) Lambert, Carol (Greg) Lessmeister and Chris (Kelly) Ghazouly, her grandchildren Hanna (Clement) Yong, Erin Lessmeister, Madeleine Lambert, Jordan Lessmeister and Megan Lessmeister, nephews Robert Niven, and Greg (Michelle) Niven.
Pat was predeceased by her father, Robert McIntyre Niven, her mother, Marie Irene Niven, and her sister, Jeanette Marie Niven.
There will be a service of remembrance on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Ellerslie Road Baptist Church 10603 Ellerslie Road SW Edmonton, Alberta T6W 1A1 at 1:30 p.m. Pat will be laid to rest at the Minitonas Cemetery north of Minitonas, Manitoba on Monday, July 17th at 11:00 AM following a graveside service.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Unit 4D at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital for their wonderful care during her stay there. As well, a sincere thank you to the friends and family at Ellerslie Road Baptist Church for helping to plan and host the service of remembrance in Edmonton. We would like to thank our beloved Attia family for all their support and for providing the flowers for the service. A heartfelt thank you to our dear friend Jocelyn Marchuk for coordinating the graveside service in Minitonas, Manitoba. We thank all of our friends and family for all of the flowers, food, support and messages of condolence in the days following Pat’s passing.
