Paul Daviduik Obituary

Paul Daviduik

1941 - 2024

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Paul Daviduik at the Swan Valley Health Center on November 29, 2024, at the age of 83.

Paul was born July 15, 1941, at their original farm in the Bighorn District Northwest of Swan Plain, Saskatchewan to his parents John and Martha Daviduik. At the age of six, his family moved to the current farm west of Bowsman where he lived until his passing.

He received his education at Lavender School until grade 8 when he decided to go to work. Paul farmed with his dad and brother Walter and worked winters in the bush falling timber for Bill Neiman and later hauling lumber for Pete Wowchuk. Paul was an extremely hard worker, often combining all day and swathing all night well into his 70s.

Paul was an excellent cattleman, often topping the market with his steers in Brandon and Winnipeg. He loved growing all crops, but especially canola and was always striving to grow a bigger crop every year. He wasn’t afraid of trying new methods or varieties to make things better.

Paul was also an avid hunter and was always successful in harvesting elk and often guided others to be successful as well.

Paul is survived by his life partner of 46 years Bonnie Alderson, his son John (Nicole), granddaughters Madison (Brendan) and Morgan (Myles Adamchuk), Bonnie’s son Mark Alderson (Johanne), granddaughters Alyssa (Will Loewen) and Erica, and grandson Justin (Lisa Litau). He is also survived by his many remaining siblings, nieces, and nephews.

Paul is predeceased by his parents Martha and John Daviduik, sister Eva, and brothers Walter and Bill.

If friends so desire, memorial donations in memory of Paul may be made to Minitonas 4H Beef Club Box 261 Bowsman, MB R0L 0H0.
