On July 15, 2025, Rev. Ralf Michael Boettcher of Swan River, Manitoba, formerly of Mississauga, Ontario passed away at the age of 72 years.

Survived by his loving wife: Chalice and their children: Brigette (Kevin), Charlie (Erin), Mike (Judith), Rachel (Mike), Colleen (Mike), Heather (Oleksandr), 14 grandchildren, 3 brothers: Diethard (Brit), Harald (Carolyn), Pete (Shirley), 3 nieces and 4 nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents Edmund and Irene Boettcher, his 3 children who miscarried and niece Jacklyn Hancock.

He was born in Hamburg, Germany on September 27, 1952, and moved to Toronto shortly after. He loved reading, playing instruments and staying home with his wife who he had been married to for 43 years. He had many careers over his lifetime, but the one he was most proud of was being a pastor. He retired from being lead pastor at Living Word Tabernacle, in Swan River, in 2024. He will be missed.
