Robyn Eisner Obituary

Robyn Danette Eisner, 47, passed away peacefully in Swan River, MB on July 27, 2022, with her family by her side after a short, courageous battle with cancer.

She was born July 30, 1974, in Brandon, Manitoba to Ross and Kathy McAuley, youngest sister to Karen & Tara.

Robyn spent her childhood summers camping in remote areas of the wilderness with her family while working for the local ice cream store and pharmacy.  She graduated from DRCSS in 1992 & later attended the University of Manitoba graduating with a Bachelor in Arts with a major in Psychology and minor in Sociology degree.  During that time, she met her husband to be at Dauphin’s Country fest and decided to move to Swan River upon completion. She began working at Focus on Employment after a short-term job as a home care service provider.  Soon thereafter, she accepted a position with Income and Assistance at the government building.

Robyn and Jason were married July 11, 1998 – giving birth to Rayna in 2005 and Maddix in 2007.  She soon transitioned to working for Manitoba Public Insurance where she worked for the last 15+ years.

She was an extremely active mother and friend – rarely missed a hockey game, loved going on vacations as a family, watching Rayna’s dance recitals or any excuse to get together to play games or go on an adventure with friends.  She recently took up cross country skiing with a group of gals who called themselves “Nordic Girls”.  Her hockey family was a big part of her life in the winters, and she cherished every road trip over the years.

Her hobbies and interests included first and foremost her family, flower gardens and reading books with her “book club” girlfriends. She had a heart of gold and devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver when her sister Tara was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago.  She was the kind of person you could call anytime, and she would drop what she was doing to help you.  Robyn took pleasure in the simple things -and firmly believed in making memories with those around her.

The support from our community rallying around to support her the last few months was a testament to who she was.  Her kindness to all was returned 100-fold with charity drives in her name, support T-shirts, home dental visits/manicures/facials, hospital hair cuts & random acts of generosity from the public with hot meals, gifts, visits and phone calls.

Special thanks to Dr Koeting and all the nursing staff that made her hospital stay as comfortable as possible.  You were all so appreciated with the tenderness towards her.

Robyn is survived by her husband of 24 years, Jason, children – Rayna (16) & Maddix (15), parents Ross and Kathy McAuley, sister Karen Anderson (Jordyn), Terry Dewarle (Michele, Christopher)  In-laws Doug & Marlene Eisner, Corrie (Jeff, Rianna, Sidnie Aasen), Carla (Scott, Megan, Jayda Neiles) and numerous uncles, aunts & cousins.

She was preceded in death by her sister Tara McAuley in 2016.

As per Robyn's wishes, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to The Rayna and Maddix Education Fund via cash or cheque mailed to Box 2674 Swan River, Mb R0L 1Z0 or etransfer to ceo@ValleyViewVentures.net
