On December 24, 2021, Ronald “Butch” McDuff of Minitonas passed away at the age of 77.
Left to mourn his passing is Evey McDuff and daughters Brandie McDuff (Jason Yacyshyn) of Swan River, and Corie McDuff of Calgary, Alberta, plus his two grandchildren Austin McDuff and Bailey McDuff.
Also surviving Butch are his brothers Roy (Judy), Randy (Michelle), Reg (Cindy), and Ross (Sandy) as well as his sisters Carol (Duncan), Cathy (Jack), Connie, and Chris (Barry).
He is predeceased by his parents, three brothers (Richard, Raymond, and Bob), and two sons from a previous marriage.
Butch was born in Dauphin and grew up in The Pas. He worked various jobs before meeting Evey and settling down in Minitonas. For his entire career, Butch worked as a heavy-duty mechanic and was known as the guy who could fix anything! He retired in 2008.
He was passionate about motorcycles and loved biking, whether out riding with his friends or by himself. He was also an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing.
After he retired, Butch started restoring classic cars and was often found puttering in his garage and yard with tools in hand.
He also loved to play (and win!) at darts with his family.
The family plans to hold a memorial service at a later date.
