Sharon Genaille Obituary

Our baby girl and little sister was born on January 11, 1998, in Swan River, Manitoba.

Sharon enjoyed life to the fullest, spending time with family & friends.  She enjoyed going to the lake, camping, dining, hunting, dancing, sitting by the fire, socializing, quiet moments and playing golf.

Sharon was a club member at Glen Lea Golf & Country Club in Brandon, Manitoba.   She had a competitive side when it came to golf.  Her most outstanding achievements this past golf season were getting a Hole in One on July 1, 2022, winning the Battle of the Nations Ladies Golf Championship with her mom and winning the Ladies Club Championship at Glen Lea.  All of these accomplishments did not compare to the one that was most important to her and that was to play alongside her brother Stacy Genaille.  Being asked to travel and play with him was her proudest moment.

Wherever she went, Sharon’s gift of friendship and laughter reached far and wide.  She gave her time and attention to those who needed her and tried to help those that needed guidance and support.  Sharon was attending Assiniboine Community College in Brandon where she was a peer mentor.  If Sharon could tell you one thing it would be this:

“Do what you know is right in your heart, follow your arrow, and do something amazing with your life… and oh…. Don’t forget to do it with a smile!”

Her goal was to eventually graduate with a Bachelor of Commerce from Brandon University and find a job as an accountant.  Thank you ACC staff, students and faculty for their thoughtful memorial in honour of our daughter in Brandon, Manitoba.

Sharon will be sadly missed but never forgotten and deeply loved by her parents Lorna and Faron, her brothers Stacy, Peter(Lindsey), Derek, Dwayne and her sister Myrna; her nieces Amber, Delia, Hallie, MJ, Farrah, Cassy, Deanna, and nephews Coleton, Clinton, Rhett, Kendry, Dane and Myron, her god-daughters Zayvera and Peyton.  Remembering her will be easy but missing her is a heartache that will never go away.

In my Father’s House… Sharon was met by her grandparents Ada/Louie Genaille, Rosie/Gordon Munro SR. her brother Aaron; her aunties Joan/Melvin, Donna, Leona (Bruce); her uncles Archie, Percy, Chi Chi, Roy, Jimmy, and Eldon.

When your heart is heavy and your eyes are filled with tears, you will find her in your memory bank because the beauty of a memory is that it’s always there.
