Shirley Marie Koversky

May 13, 1936 – March 17, 2024

It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Shirley Marie Koversky on March 17, 2024, at the age of 87 years.

She leaves to mourn three sons Wayne of Thompson, MB, Darcy of Edmonton, AB, Sheldon of Swan River, MB, three grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

 Shirley was predeceased by her husband Mervin, sisters Dorothy Deschief (Art), Lorna Laniman, brothers Earl Truax (Gertrude) and Bill Truax.

Shirley was born on May 13, 1936, in Deloraine, MB. Mom worked during her school years at the local drugstore and bowling alley at the lunch counters. She later worked as a telephone operator. She met dad at a dance, and they were married on November 11, 1955. Mom moved from Deloraine to Winnipeg where she devoted her life to raising her three children, starting with Wayne in the city, Darcy in Neepawa, and finally Sheldon in Thompson. They lastly settled in Swan River.

Mom enjoyed reading books, spending time with family, playing VLT’s watching soaps and movies and playing cards to name a few.

 Mom always appreciated a good joke and loved to laugh. Her family was the most important thing in her life and loved everyone dearly.
