Tina Stevens
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Mrs. Tina Stevens of Wuskwi Sipihk First
Nation at the age of 83 in Swan River, MB on May 18th, 2024. Tina was born in Birch River, MB to Macolm Audy and Alice Audy on July 29, 1940. During her life, Tina was very involved in foster parenting raising numerous nephews, nieces, and grandkids. Tina held a position on Board of Directors for the Cree Nation Child & Family and served her community on the local childcare committee for numerous years.
She was also an elder representing Wuskwi Sipihk for Conferences and Annual Assemblies doing opening prayers.
Tina was a very outgoing person who enjoyed joking around and teasing others, for all that
knew Tina she was always on the phone (latest news). She enjoyed her weekly Star & Times and evening documentaries on TV. Tina was not one for travelling but for those who travelled to her home was always opened for a warm meal or a cup of tea, she enjoyed company from everyone.
Tina was a devoted mother and loved her children deeply, she was survived by her children Daniel Audy – WSFN, Darren Audy – Winnipeg, Lori (Sheldon) O’Neill – Birch River, Craig Audy – WSFN, Tyson Audy – WSFN along with 31 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends too many to mention.
Tina was predeceased by parents Macolm & Alice Audy. Siblings Bena Scarrow (Tom) ~ Charlie Audy (Georgina) ~ Jack Audy (Helen) ~ Norman Audy (Lillian) most recently her husband Mervyn Stevens, daughter Karen Stevens and son Derek Audy, grandchildren Andrea Audy, Clarissa Audy.
Tina was the last of her siblings to past, she will be forever loved and missed by all that knew her.
