Violet Guiboche

1958 – 2020

It’s with great sadness the family announces the passing of their beloved, mother, grandma, sister, auntie, great auntie, great great auntie and friend. Irene Violet Guiboche of Swan River, Manitoba, formerly of Duck Bay, Manitoba passed away on June 10, 2020 at the age of sixty-two after battling an illness. Violet was born January 10, 1958 in Dauphin, Manitoba. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Agnes Guiboche of Swan River.

Violet leaves behind to mourn; her son Tyson Guiboche (Stacy Green) and their daughter Kate-lynn Green of Swan River; son Perry Guiboche of Swan River; daughter Jennifer Guiboche of Winnipeg, Manitoba; her partner Daniel Dutkewich. She also leaves her brother Floyd Guiboche of British Columbia; and seven sisters Veronica (Daniel) Gott of Swan River, Joan Doyle of Steinbach, Manitoba; Donna (Garth) Kroeker of Beausejour, Manitoba; Deborah (Gerald S.) Guiboche of Swan River, Sandy Guiboche of Winnipeg, Josephine (Leo) Sabourin of Winnipeg, and Noella (Terrence) Guiboche of Dauphin; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was also predeceased by her parents, and brother Beverly Paul Guiboche.

In her spare time Violet enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter Kate-lynn, and also spending time with family. She enjoyed being around her friends, and playing skip-bo cards, crib and other games. When she was young, Violet enjoyed fishing, going to the lake, knitting, really enjoyed writing poetry, short stories, drawing, painting, and doing puzzles. Her favourite colour was red, and she had a strong belief in God. She always liked making people laugh, was easy going and made friends easily. She was a good listener and gave good advice. Earlier in her life she was a health care aid in Winnipeg.
