1937 – 2019

Wilma Joan Hill was born on Monday, April 12, 1937 in Melville, Saskatchewan.

In her teenage years, she moved to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. There she met her future husband.

On November 6, 1971, Wilma was married to John Henry Lawrence in Swan River, Manitoba.

John worked for King Motors in Swan River but shortly after marriage the couple moved to Flin Flon, Manitoba. John and Wilma never had children, but they extended their love to their many pets over the years. They continued living there until John’s passing, after which time Wilma moved back to Swan River.

Wilma was predeceased by her husband, John; her parents; three brothers; and nephew, Gary. She leaves to mourn her passing; sister in law, Shirley Trumbley of Swan River; nephews, John (Shelley) of Creighton, Saskatchewan; Clifford, Lawrence (Carla), and Beverley (Kim) all of Swan River.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the Birchwood Cemetery, Swan River, Manitoba. Should friends so desire, donations in Wilma’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
